Heinfeld Family Session 2020

One of the best things about photographing a family year after year is getting to be a small part of their lives, kind of sitting back and watching them grow before your very eyes. I am pretty sure Cylus grew two feet since I saw him last year, lol! And I seriously feel like I JUST had their session in 2019! It's been a challenging year for us all, but you can tell this family bond is as sweet as ever, and Cylus is just as happy-go-lucky and loves exploring the farm. We even included Grandma and Grandpa for a few, which Chelcea informed me are "his people!"

And those beautiful eyes... ahh they make me melt!!

Hope you kids have a great football season this year! I'll be wearing my MSU hoodie... lol!

Keenan's Senior Session

This kid amazes me. How he is able to balance soccer, football, family, church and school, and still show up with such a great attitude every day speaks volumes of who he is. My own kids even adore him like a big brother! Since he is a true Garrett Railroader, we stuck to the city limits for his session, and Garrett did not disappoint. From a historic movie theater, to nostalgic brick, to the freshly painted city mural, to the outdoor soccer fields that have lately been Keenan's second home, we were able to capture a wide variety of backdrops to keep it fun. I was so excited to end the session with the moon high in the sky above the stadium lights, and Keenan was just as happy to practice all his soccer tricks (with the help of his dad!) for the camera!

Congratulations Keenan! All your hard work is paying off. We can't wait to see what the future brings!

Schewe Family Session 2020

When we found out my brother-in-law was going to be deployed in October, we knew we needed to squeeze in a family session as soon as possible. Kim wanted to send him off with some sweet pics of all of them together. South Haven isn't a quick trip, but always so worth it! The weather was surprisingly warm, the beach mostly to ourselves being a Monday afternoon, and the sky was so hazy from the west coast fires that you could barely make out the horizon. All in all, it made for some dreamy pictures! And of course, these kids are super photogenic! The session was a little longer than usual, but I had brought my kids along to play while I shot so it just gave them more time to play! (Thanks to my mother-in-law for watching them!) And of course we had to stop for a quick repeat pic with the Zelephant before ending the fun at the Sherman Dairy Bar for some kids' scoops! Man, it's probably a good thing I don't live near that place because my freezer would be stocked full of that ice cream.

Love you Schewe's!! xoxoxo
