Briana & Arthur ~ the Wedding

In a world full of chaos and apprehension, Briana and Arthur's wedding was a breath of fresh air. It was time for a joyous occasion! I admire this couple so much for their level-headedness, changing last minute plans and, quite honestly, giving up the ideal that so many brides and grooms dream of for their entire engagement due to the current coronavirus pandemic. We weren't quite at a stay-at-home order yet, but definitely trying to be careful considering social distancing.

"We just want to be married," she told me, texting me back about how the wedding plans were being affected. My heart went out to her, both in heartache and admiration. So onward we marched as planned! Minus six hours of festivities and all but 10 people.

It was, quite possibly the most memorable wedding I've photographed. Brought down to the essentials, realizing why we are really there, and I was so honored to capture those two sweet hours for them with their immediate family. It was precious and it was beautiful.
