Gerald Kline's Campaign Session

Another first in my books, I photographed a session for Gerald and Tina Kline (thanks Lindsay Brown, for recommending me!) to use for their campaign photos since Gerald is running for the DeKalb County sheriff. He is a man of strong moral standing and I was honored to help!

Gerald and Tina were so cute interacting together, Tina teasing Gerald here and there to bring out his best smiles, and I actually really loved the pictures of them looking at each other and laughing the best. With politics being so skewed these days, it was great to see some truly authentic, good hearted people, and that's what I wanted to capture for them.

We did a few pictures in the comfort of their own home, then headed to downtown Auburn, which is full of that chic hometown feel. And the courthouse was just bursting with summer colors. Whoever does the landscaping there deserves a pat on the back!

Wishing you the best of luck in the upcoming election, Gerald and Tina!

Kemper's Newborn Session

Remember my lovely friend Keah from this previous maternity session? Meet her adorable little girl, Kemper!!

I am so excited for Keah and Kabe on their addition of little Kemper Grey, their first baby! It's such a trying time as a new parent, but so incredibly rewarding. This session took us quite a bit of time due to Miss Kemper's need for snuggles that evening, but that is to be expected (and we plan for it in our newborn sessions)! Keah wears motherhood so beautifully and made it look almost effortless, and Kabe was literally beaming with pride over his precious girl. We were able to get some beautiful pictures to adorn her nursery and baby album... sigh*** <3

Thank you Keah and Kabe for again allowing me to document such a sweet time in your lives! Ari is already looking forward to another playdate with your lovely little lady!

Horschel Family Session 2017

I met Sarah and her two precious kiddos through my good friend, Adrienne, who has been bff's with Sarah since college. Ironically, they both studied fashion, got married, and have a girl and boy the same ages! Sarah decided to do a family beach session on the same day that we did the St. Laurent's (See their post here!), which was super fun for the kids to all be together. They were picture perfect models - working with an agency - so very easy to pose and made my job very easy! We captured some head shots for their portfolio during the session, too.

The lighting was just dreamy that evening on New Smryna's beach, even though we were close to getting rained out! Thankfully everyone stuck with me, and it definitely paid off. These images are just gorgeous, just like Sarah and her kids!! I absolutely loved their outfits, and we even captured a few shots of the Horschel kids and St. Laurent kids together in their matching outfits! So adorable.

Thank you, Sarah, for trekking up to New Smyrna for the session! It was truly a pleasure working with you, and I'm sure these will be great in your home and in your portfolios!

St Laurent Family Session 2017

This session has been a long time coming, and very worth the wait! For about three years now, Adrienne and I have been talking about how fun it would be to do a beach session, but being in the middle of Indiana doesn't give you too many options for that. Add in kids and busy schedules and it gets even harder to schedule a time that we could travel and make it happen! But it must have been meant to be, because our family vacations just happened to align this summer (thanks to my sweet Ari's due date moving us back a month) and we found ourselves both in Florida on the same week only an hour apart! So of course we couldn't pass this opportunity up!

And despite the threat of the Florida summer storms, getting warned to stay away from stray raccoons, and baby in tote, the scene was absolutely perfect for a portrait session. I hadn't been to New Smyrna since I was little, but I remembered how I loved climbing on the jetties and walking down the boardwalks through the dunes. Adrienne's lifelong friend Sarah came with her two kids to make it a double session (blog post coming up next!), and the kids were so adorable all dressed alike! And as always, Adrienne had a stunning, beach-worthy dress picked out as well!

I am SO IN LOVE with these pictures!!! Thank you Adrienne and Andy for driving north to meet me here, and I am amazed as always with how awesome you guys are at modeling for me!
