Cylus's 1 Year Session

It always feels like just yesterday when I have a one year session for a little one that I've also done a newborn session for. I'll just never understand how time goes so fast! This little guy is quite the cutie, and the apple of Mom and Dad's eyes! Ever exploring, just like every little boy I know, and always happy for every photo shoot.

Sophie's 1 Year Session

This girl is all smiles and sunshine! I just love her to pieces. For her one year session, we decorated her mom's childhood rocking chair with balloons next to her giant cupcake smash cake in the middle of the yard. She was perfectly content just sitting there, fascinated by those bubbly things floating above her head. Then we took the session indoors with gold glitter stars, pink ribbons, gold and pink "ONE" letters, and of course, the smash cake! Which... she didn't really want, haha! But we talked her in to a couple bites! I think she had more fun watching her mom and I fawning over her to get her attention.

Happy 1st birthday, little lady!! Love watching you grow!

Rodewald Family Session

I joined this family for an evening session on the beach at Jean Klock Park in Benton Harbor, MI. Literally a perfect setting and perfect weather that day - and the kids were perfect - couldn't have asked for better! Every now and then I have multi-family sessions like this, and it's always so sweet to see the love between the generations. I'm big on heritage. Not to mention, it's nice that each family gets to take a break while another one is having their portraits done!

I love how these turned out, so warm and soft, just like that Michigan shoreline. I only wish I lived a little closer to the water! Awesome job to this beautiful family. I'm always honored to capture such sweet memories!
