Souder Family Session

I wish somebody could have recorded my face as I was working on these images, because I'm sure it would have been entertaining. Between the snickering, furrowing (with concentration), squealing and gasping, I'm sure I looked like quite the nerd.

But in spite of all of that, I am so pumped to post these! SO thrilled with how they turned out! Love the fall setting (thank you mom), love the family (mostly because they're mine) and love the fact that they are not afraid to be totally themselves, and that always makes for the best results. Nothing makes me happier than to know people are having a blast during the session!

Ok... well, except when they are giddy with excitement and jumping up and down when they see their pics... that makes me even happier. :)

And can I just say that they are one good looking bunch of kids?? All nine of them!

Love love LOVE you guys!!!

Knott Family Mini-Session

First of all, I love this family! They always make me feel so welcome and like one of the gang. Kristin did an excellent job getting fun ideas and props together, and Dina's "KNOTT" letters turned out to make awesome pictures! And of course the kids were just as animated as always. ;)

Second of all, I love this location!! So excited to finally get to shoot at Salomon Farms, which just happens to be right across the street from my house! It's so perfect... especially this time of year with the tall grass and wildflowers and turning leaves. And the barns add that nostalgic, carefree touch.

Hope you have as much fun viewing this mini-session as much as I did shooting it! {Can't wait to do it again!}

Leslie & Chad's Wedding

Leslie has been such a pleasure to work with, and I'm so glad that her pictures turned out so well for her! She is seriously one of those people who is instantly your friend five seconds after you meet her. I loved that everyone in her bridal party had such a great sense of humor, and her mom was by far the most amazingly prepared-for-anything woman I have ever met. We battled a little rain, but as they say, it's good luck on your wedding day. Leslie and Chad ~ here's wishing all the happiness in the world to two very deserving people!

Keegan's Senior Session

Keegan's senior session was full of surprises! It was as if the clouds just couldn't decide whether or not they wanted to rain that day, so instead it just spattered on and off throughout our shoot. And then, finding an old railroad track on a one lane road (forcing us to park beside an old mattress thrown out in the middle of nowhere...) we managed to wait out the rain, and the train that was chugging along at about 2 miles an hour, just long enough to snap a few pictures before a second train came barreling down the tracks! But despite all the quirks and setbacks, my favorite part about Keegan's session was photographing her with her lovely calf before she took it to the fair. Another photo first for me!! Seriously though, I had such a fun time with Keegan, her mom and her sister-in-law, and I can definitely come out of this saying we had some memorable laughs!

Great job, Keegan, and best wishes!

Danielle & Jarrod ~ the Wedding

I have been anxiously awaiting this wedding for months... because I knew it was going to be amazing. As apparent in their last blog post for their engagement session, it is obvious that Danielle has an awesome sense of style and she and Jarrod are an adorable couple! And not to anyone's surprise, she was absolutely breathtaking as a bride. I loved that she went the traditional route and didn't let anyone see her wedding dress until the wedding day ~ a woman after my own heart!! ;)

Congrats you two! I hope these pictures serve you well in remembering how perfect your wedding day was for you and all the people who love you!

St. Laurent Family Session 2013

Once again, I loved Adrienne's genius when it comes to her photo shoot planning. They always turn out so fabulous! This time we went with an urban look at Fountain Square, downtown Indianapolis. Seriously, I could shoot there all day, every day, and still never use the same background twice! It's so nostalgic and funky. My favorite - using over-sized Styrofoam numbers for the kids' ages! Loved this shoot, and love this family!!
