Adrienne and Taylor's wedding day was so full of anticipation, you could feel it. Little flower girls fluttering about in their blue dresses, moms and dads beaming with pride, and two young and in love high school sweethearts, hardly able to wrap their minds around the fact that this day was finally happening!
The day was warm and sunny, and after being prayed by their parents, a beautiful God-centered ceremony took flight. I loved all the special touches, from the music to the sand ceremony, to the cello player, and Taylor had some of the best written vows I have heard yet - there was not a dry eye among the guests to prove it. The ceremony was followed by bubbles and a super sharp vintage getaway truck. (Yes, all the men were gawking at it.) The reception was held at the Hotel Fort Wayne, and this crowd sure loved to dance! Adrienne and Taylor were so sweet together - I have no doubt this couple will go far, and young as they are, have been well prepared by their supportive family and friends to have an amazing marriage.
God bless you two!

Isla's 2 Year Session
If you've followed me long enough, you might notice I try to get pictures of my girls on their birthdays. Just thinking ahead for future albums, picture frames, etc. I love looking back at my own baby portraits and my husbands for the simple fact of trying to figure out who each one of them looks like!
However, I feel like by the time I get to my third child, I've kind of slacked on this a bit, haha! So we are a bit past her second birthday, but she pretty much looks the same I'd say. ;) It was a quick, shoot from the hip kind of session, starting out on our back patio because our grass is nice and brown, and ending up in a vacant yard a few lots down that looks like it could have been in Arizona. The ground was dry and cracked, but showered with an array of weeds and wildflowers that took on a whole new aura as the sun was setting. It was gorgeous!!
So glad God stepped in on this shoot and gave me such lovely lighting that night - totally by mistake on my part - to do my beautiful girl (and her sister who insisted on jumping in) justice.

Emily's 1 Year Session
This sweet little pea has had a lot going on the last few months... walking, moving across the country, fighting her first cold, making new friends... and turning ONE! She's as smiley as they come, but even the happiest babies have their days. Unfortunately Emily was not feeling like her bubbly self during our first session, but it was no problem rescheduling now that she lives in Michigan and not California!
So proud to be able to call this little angel my niece! Such a beauty... and those eyes!! Oh my goodness she is blessed! So excited to watch her grow and that my girls will grow up being so close to her!

Cedar Creek Equestrian
I was asked by a local equestrian instructor to take some photos during their summer camp, and I seriously couldn't be more thrilled! Actually I was hired as a "surprise" for his wife, so she could focus on teaching instead of taking pictures on her cell phone - a great investment to save her time and frustration and get some great marketing shots!
So for anyone who has known me long enough, you know I am completely enamored by horses, and have been since I was able walk. One of my favorite pictures from my childhood was visiting my Aunt's house in the mountains in North Carolina, nose to nose with her horse. I was fortunate enough to own three during my childhood, read every book I could find on horses, and would sit around and trace and draw pictures of them for hours. They are without a doubt, in my opinion, God's most graceful and majestic creatures.
I truly loved capturing these images for Cedar Creek - watching those sweet girls care for their horses and learn all about showmanship, and getting some artsy candids of these beauties while the opportunity presented itself.
So. In. Love.

The Fox Family Session
I want to thank Ellen for her patience in scheduling this session with me. We had to bounce around our schedules a bit due to weather and unexpected family recreational activities, but finally found a gorgeous Saturday morning at Headwaters park that turned out great! So what that it happened to be the same day as Kickstart 2016 and it took me about 15 minutes to find a parking space - mostly because I got stuck in a traffic jam full of bicycles.
This adorable family did such a good job. Both little girls did so well and were so patient! We got a few artsy shots with the baby... and we even had a random stranger come up and ask me if they could take a picture too. First time for everything, I guess!
Great job, you guys! Your girls are such sweethearts!
