Elizabeth & Jeremy ~ the Wedding
Elizabeth and Jeremy had a beautiful late summer wedding. Long, flowing gowns, accents in navy blue and sage, with hints of glitzy old hollywood glamour. There was a sense of classiness and ease throughout the day. Elizabeth and Jeremy had a moment to pray together before the wedding without seeing each other before the ceremony - an alternative to the "first look." The reception was held at the Kendallville Event Center, and the dance floor was alive the entire night. I always get a kick out of watching the guests whip out their best dance moves, but my favorite of the night by far was Elizabeth and her sister perform "Sisters" from White Christmas complete with feather boas! Sigh** a girl after my own heart!
Congratulations Elizabeth and Jeremy! Here's to a beautiful life together!

Michelle & Max ~ the Wedding
One of the biggest perks of my job is getting to experience so many new locations. I had never heard of the Windmill Farm in Kendallville before, but what a cute place to have a wedding! Michelle and Max had a beautiful day and perfect weather. The girls were donned in lace and pearls, from Michelle's classic gown, to the mint and coral bridesmaid dresses, to the dreamy sequinned flower girl dresses. After a lovely ceremony at St. John's Lutheran Church, we meandered over to the Windmill Museum where guests spent the evening mingling both in and outdoors, and walking around the farm.
Thank you, Michelle and Max, for allowing me to be a part of your day! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!

Erin & Jim ~ the Wedding
Erin and Jim are one of the most unique couples I've ever had the pleasure of photographing, and I loved working with them! Both very intelligent and talented - and of course with a great sense of humor - they are a perfect fit. I loved that they brought in old family traditions with their own personal style and made their wedding their own. Erin made a stunning blue shawl which gracefully adorned her wedding gown. The detail was phenomenal! Her grandmother made the Danish wedding cake, which was accompanied by a flavorful array of cookies, homemade mints and champagne. And in lieu of the traditional dj and dancing, Erin and Jim's family socialized and played some of their favorite games. The entire atmosphere was so laid back, and wholly enjoyable. So easy to photograph!
Best wishes, Erin & Jim!

Elizabeth & Jeremy ~ the Engagement
I love photographing couples who are obviously head over heels for each other. Elizabeth and Jeremy are one of those, making my job easy! And during our shoot, I discovered their big hearts were not just for each other. Jeremy is a pastor at a local church in Alexandria, and Elizabeth is a fellow Indiana Wesleyan alumni who studied Addictions Counseling. What an amazing couple! I have no doubt that God will do great things through them. And I am honored to be capturing the beginning of their love story.

Katie's Maternity Session
I am beyond excited for #lilrodey to make a debut! This little one due in July will officially make me an Aunt - woohoooo!!! We always look forward to seeing my sister-in-law and her husband who live in California, and what better occasion than a baby shower?! Katie looked as stunning as ever as a beautiful mommy-to-be, and I was more than happy to shoot a maternity session for her following her baby shower in Michigan. And I'm sending a shout-out to her in-laws for letting us use their amazingly gorgeous home for such a perfect setting!
Katie wanted a "belly" theme for her session, and little gifts she received for her shower added the perfect touch when it came to props. I just love these!! Congratulations, Katie and Mike! I seriously cannot wait to hear about our little niece / nephew in just a couple months!!! :D :D :D

Coy's 6 Month Session
This kid!! I was dying laughing as I was editing these because of the faces he was making during the shoot! As if his bright red hair wasn't cute enough, his face would just light up every time Mom or Dad would pick him up, and he would get so excited exploring all kinds of new things to look at wherever we sat him down.
I just love this little family ~ and their pictures just keep getting better and better! Already looking forward to our 1 year session in September! I'm sure I won't be able to even keep up with him then!

Elizabeth & Brett ~ the Wedding
What a gorgeous wedding to kick off the 2015 season! Elizabeth and Brett hosted an evening full of dining and crazy dance moves at the amazing Loft 310 in Kalamazoo's entertainment district. Everything looked picture perfect, from the lush flower centerpieces to the tastefully elegant cake amidst all the painted brick, stylishly dark hardwood floors and stunning chandeliers.
Nothing could stop these two from having an amazing day with their family and friends - not even the 4.0 earthquake early in the afternoon! I loved getting some fun urban shots with the bridal party downtown, although the venue itself had endless options for amazing portrait settings.
Thank you again, Elizabeth and Brett, for including me in your day! We wish you many, many years of wedded bliss!
