Kenzi's Senior Session

My beautiful niece is a senior this year! I don't know how it's possible, but here we are. With plans to study music in college, her future looks bright! We took a road trip up to South Haven on a cold day threatening rain, but the pictures still turned out as gorgeous as ever on the beach! We had a full crowd joining us since we were adding in some family photos, and my kiddos tagged along to play with their cousins too. And other than the one lone guy in the water taking a polar plunge, the setting was perfectly serene. Once we got the shots we wanted there, we set off for Kenzi's grandparents' house for some hot cocoa and pictures back in the woods! We found some majestic aspen trees (her sister's namesake!), took a detour on a trail, and then ended her session dancing in the field! It was such a fun session for the happy-go-lucky girl she is.

So proud of you, Kenzi!! You always have a smile on your face and that alone will take you far! Keep up the great work, we are cheering you on!

Heinfeld Family 2023

These are some of my favorite fall pictures yet for this adorable family! Once again in Matea park, the leaves were just hanging on for us for the perfect pop of color. Little Arabella wasn't so sure if she wanted to smile for me or not, but we snuck a couple in when she was distracted and not thinking about me taking pictures. And Cyrus was as cooperative as always! I absolutely loved the ghost pictures Chelcea wanted to do at the end, although it only worked out having two of our four ghosts. I think Arabella much rather would have been wrapped up in the sheet instead of having it on her head, and I don't blame her, since it was getting rather chilly! In the end, I think we captured the love this family feels for each other even more as they've grown another year. Keep up the awesome work, Chelcea and Andy!!

Aldrich Family 2023

These boys are getting quite efficient at our annual photo sessions, they have the routine down! We did our yearly washtub pics to track how much the boys are growing, and then headed out to the farm to check out Jarrod's cool new combine! Coy and Case sure were proud of it. The setting was perfect with the bright orange tree behind the bright blue combine, next to the white barn with the silo off in the background. And of course Danielle picked just the right outfits for cozy weather! I look forward to their session every year!

Ethan's Senior Session

A classic session for this Dekalb senior, Ethan wanted to take his pictures in his hometown of Auburn! We started the evening on the high school tennis courts, where we were able to capture his talents in action. Afterward, we headed to Eckhart Park, which surprised us being all decked out for Halloween! But further back, we found some great scenery among the trees and by the creek. I love the "looking off" poses I have the seniors do, as if contemplating their future in the distance, even if Ethan did struggle keeping his serious face! (I think it's a good thing, though, not to take yourself too seriously!) Finally we drove over to the time-honored Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum to get in those great mirrored windows and brick walls. Behind the parking lot, we found a nostalgic old truck and gas station that we just had to add to the mix. And of course, we had to chat for a minute with the famous automobile designer Gordon Buehrig!

Thanks for being up for a fun venture around Auburn, Ethan! Wishing you the best in all your future endeavors.
