Natalie & Stephen's Reception

I love photographing weddings. And sometimes I get lucky and get to be a second photographer for one of my friends... which means I get to go shoot and have fun without all the pressure! I shot this reception with my good friend (and up-and-coming photog) Keah Flanagan (Elwood, IN). It was great just hanging out with her for the day, and even though it was quite warm outside, the setting was nothing short of romantic. The bride, an architect from New York, has an amazing sense of fashion, as does her London-born husband. And this being their third reception for the week, everyone was ready to let loose and have fun! The reception was set at Trader's Point Creamery in Indianapolis - which I am now in love with - complete with home-grown hor d'oeuvres and freshly made ice cream.

Danielle & Jarrod's Engagement Session

I am thrilled to be photographing a wedding for this sweet couple! I love the fact that they want to incorporate their country roots into their day, and what better setting to photograph their engagement session in than on their own {future} farm? And on top of being just plain adorable, I can tell just in the hour I spent with them that they have a blast just being together ~ and what more could you ask for in a marriage? And judging by Danielle's taste and creativity that I've seen so far, I can tell you I am highly anticipating how incredible their wedding day will be this fall!

The Romero's Family Session

I am so glad this family turned out to be my lucky winners of the Great American Garage Sale drawing this year! They were so fun and open to some out-of-the-box ideas... and even coming up with some themselves! We decided to do an urban shoot at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, which turned out awesome. I just love how these turned out, and I hope I can do another session for this lovely family again soon. :)

How to Display Your Portraits {Real Life DIY}

There is truly no greater compliment to a photographer than seeing your work proudly displayed on a client's walls.  Portrait sessions are a great way to capture memories, but with the right boutique products, your images become your unique fine art decor, worth adorning your home.

Boutique products like the ever-popular canvas wraps are always a sure-fire way to exhibit your images in a tastefully artistic manner. Newer trends also include gallery blocks, luxe vintage frames and metal prints... and don't forget the prestigious coffee table albums for all your guests to gush over. Oversize prints make an incredible statement on a wall, or if you are like me and just simply can't choose one image, a collage of your favorites coordinated by session or color will make your walls come alive. Try using a variety of frames or sizes organized around a focal point, like a family letter or a wall decal.

Here are some artsy ideas from one of my fave clients displaying a couple photo sessions I've done for her - (thank you SO much Adrienne for letting me use your pictures!) Hope it gives you some inspiration for what you can do with the "tangible" part of your photo session!

Lot's of prayers and then some, and now he will actually be here in a few short weeks!!! Meanwhile, I wanted to show off his mama's adorable baby bump, and so glad she let me because they turned out gorgeous!

I was honored to be a vendor at Auburn's first inaugural Great American Garage Sale last Saturday. We had such a great time!! Getting settled up here in Fort Wayne has been quite the ordeal, but we are so glad to be here and meeting such fine folks. :) I had my very own booth to promote my photography, as well as introduce all the new high-end boutique products! {I had a little too much fun making all these samples and anticipating packages arriving at my door almost every day for the last two weeks!}

I also took this opportunity to announce my first ever CONTEST!!! Customers who stopped by the booth could enter to win a free photo session and 8x10 by registering their email address... and the good news is... I am still taking entries! There are three ways to enter your name in the drawing:
