Jarin's Senior Session

This kid. I know I'm a little biased, but he's one of the best there is. I've been looking forward to doing Jarin's senior pictures since I first started photography ten years ago. He is quite the model! Of course, knowing who is family is, I have to say it's in the genes. ;) He had an excellent senior year in soccer, makes friends everywhere he goes, and best of all, he has a heart of gold. Sweet, caring and perfectly goofy at times, I am proud to call him family. His parents beam with pride, as they should. They've raised an amazing young man.

We are beyond excited to see where God takes you, Jarin. And so blessed to have you in our lives! Love you much!

Leah's Senior Session

This pretty lady was such a joy to work with! She is the type who has the world at her fingertips - surely to be successful wherever life takes her. She is intelligent, social, so involved in her school, and what a beauty on top of it all. I was so excited with how her session turned out - I seriously can't decide which ones are my favorites between the tall grass in the woods or my hubby's old '57!

Congratulations, Leah, on your acceptance to Purdue! We can't wait to see what amazing things you will do!

Emily & Seth ~ the Engagement

We had another glorious session at Salomon Farm with Emily and Seth. I am head over heels for this time of the year when the fields are tall and golden and flecked with cattails and purple wildflowers. Nature set the scene perfectly for this sweet couple. Some of my favorite images from Emily and Seth were just candid ones when they weren't thinking about the camera, but just hanging out like best friends do.

Congratulations again on your engagement, Emily and Seth! Looking forward to capturing more of you and nature's beauty next October at your wedding!

Emily Morgan

This little beauty is my first ever niece!!! I am just a tad bit excited about being an aunt... :D She is one lucky gal to have Katie and Mike for parents. They just adore her. She is literally all grins and giggles - so happy and content just to sit in your arms and snuggle. Here are some 2 month pictures when they were here visiting all the way from California!

Love you all so much! Thank you for letting me photograph this sweet little bundle of joy! xoxo

Kara & Jason ~ the Wedding

What a way to end September! Kara and Jason chose to hold their wedding celebration at the Empyrean in downtown Fort Wayne, which overlooks the beautiful summit city in every direction. Kara was nothing less than stunning in her trumpet lace gown, and Jason looked quite dapper in his paisley suspenders and bow tie. I, for one, was completely head over heels for the champagne bridesmaids dresses - timeless. Ohh how I want one!

After the ceremony at Fort Wayne United Methodist, guests enjoyed cocktails on the 26th floor while welcoming the new Mr. and Mrs. Zydb. Dinner was served one floor below, which was quite an event all on it's own, choosing from several stations serving a variety of delicacies, just the right size to sample them all. Back up on the top floor, the live band Urban Legend took the reigns and set the party into full swing. On-point. {Girls can sing!!} Kara and Jason ended the night with classy gelato bar - Bethanie and I can vouch for the Merlot gelato being totally awesome. Incredible couple, incredible venue, band, view, food, flowers, attire ... I could go on and on.

Kara - what a beauty you are inside and out. I loved working with you both!

Kimberly & Ryan ~ the Wedding

I've been looking forward to this wedding all year. Not only is this stunning bride my sister-in-law, but two of my girls also had the privilege of being "princesses" in the wedding (as Wynne would say...) We would be celebrating with family from near and far. And as if it couldn't get any better, the wedding was being held at the amazing Loft 310 in Kalamazoo.

Everything was picture perfect. Of course I wasn't surprised, since Kim is an event planner at Loft 310. Every detail was perfect and personal. Shades of gold eluded a warm welcome among the classic black and white. The clear sky was the perfect setting for the ceremony held on the Skydeck overlooking downtown Kalamazoo. After enjoying a cocktail hour in the Gatsby, complete with tomato soup shots and grilled cheese bites, guests were wined and dined in the Loft, before letting loose and dancing the night away. Kimberly and Ryan ended the night with more cocktails on the Skydeck under the stars.

Kimberly and Ryan ~ thank you for such a memorable event! It was flawless. Love you both dearly and so honored that you asked me to photograph the day for you.

XOXO

Kelli & Alan ~ the Wedding

This wedding... it was the epitome of classic rustic charm and vintage elegance. From Kelli's dress, to the chalk calligraphy, to the century old farmhouse and wooden barn overlooking the pond, every detail added just the right touch of casual sophistication. Kelli was an absolutely stunning bride. Despite the on again off again rain and 90 degree heat, there was an easy-going air throughout the day in anticipation of the unfolding events.

And might I just add... I have long been awaiting the day when someone would finally serve pizza at a wedding - and OH MY they did! And it was even better than I ever imagined!! 800 degrees, you've outdone yourself. And as if it couldn't be any better, it only added to the experience to watch them set up their workstation outside where they prepared the hors d'oeuvres and pizza and baked them right there in their special wood fired ovens. {Thank you, Kelli and Alan, for making my dream come true!}
