The McArthy Family Session

Love this family so much! Ok, so it may have something to do with the fact that they're my family, but nonetheless, I think even if I had just met them, I'd love them all over again. This session was short and sweet - as are most with a toddler - outside their beautiful home in the country. And of course, our pictures wouldn't be complete without catching a few chickens and featuring their first baby - Blue McArthy! Silas of course was great with the camera after a few jelly beans, and let me document his many backyard adventures in between a few family shots. :)

Michelle & Max ~ the Engagement

Can I just say, I LOVE Salomon Farm Park this time of year. The angled light and soft colors make such lovely pictures, perfect for an engagement session! Michelle and Max did such a great job, but I think it came easy to them because you don't have to be around them for long before you can tell they are madly in love. :) Looking forward to their wedding at the Windmill Museum next summer!

Chelcea & Andy ~ the Wedding

Chelcea is another girl after my own heart. Artsy, quirky, and yet from the country... she was sure to have an uber cute wedding! Nestled in her parents backyard, viewing the rolling hills and firey autumn trees, her shabby chic decor was simple, elegant, and had a certain pop of personality that suited not only her and Andy, but much of their family and friends as well. Despite the rain and chill earlier in the day, the sun decided to grace the day after all as we took pictures after the ceremony, and the lighting was incredible! SO excited to share these and thrilled for how beautiful they turned out for Chelcea and Andy. Congrats you two!!

Thielke Family Session

I am so happy to have met Bethanie and her family here in Fort Wayne. We have so much in common - new to the area, a love for unconventional health foods, crazy about our crazy kids, oh - and photography! We have had the opportunity to shoot a couple weddings together as of late, and now just swapped photo sessions so we could both get our frames updated and Christmas cards ready. :) Such a sweet family - love getting to know them!

Amelia & James ~ the Wedding

I had the pleasure of meeting James and Amelia last fall for their engagement shoot, and I could tell by that little preview that their wedding was going to be awesome. They are both so laid back and just plain adorable - and that's exactly how their wedding was too! Despite the surprisingly cold weather, some last minute preparations assured the comfort of their guests, and only added to the nostalgia. The old barn was full of character and located on a gorgeous estate including a bridge, island and huge fountain. I absolutely loved the hay bales used for seating, all the eclectic knick-knacksfor centerpieces, the incredible dancing platform built by the groom's father, and especially the rustic freestanding doors used for Amelia's grand entrance. And, might I add, they had the best dessert bar - e.v.e.r. Such a great night full of laughter and love!

Congratulations again, James & Amelia! Many many happy years of wedded bliss!

Kandice & Cameron ~ the Wedding

Love this family - they are so much fun!! Kandice and Cameron had such a gorgeous wedding, despite the heat, humidity and high chance of rain, it turned out to be a lovely outdoor ceremony. The Community Life Center in Indy has some of the most breathtaking scenery and chandeliers I've ever come across as a wedding photographer. Kandice was so awesome all day, probably the calmest person there! And, I got teared up twice - once during Cam's vows and again during their first dance. {I've been such a sap lately!} I was honored to share their day with them and get some great memories captured forever on my camera.
